Johannson Fisheries is a family fishing business connected to Lake Winnipeg and the communities of the Interlake. Fishing is a way of life that involves hard work, knowledge of the lake, and a strong connection to the outdoors.
Our work extends beyond commercial fishing. We are also connected with people who share our passion for the lake, fishing, and the experiences it offers.
Fishing in the Interlake
We work with Kevin Christianson of Viking Outfitters, who provides guided fishing experiences from Hecla Island, including winter fishing.
These experiences involve transportation across the ice, heated ice shacks, and the opportunity to experience fishing in the winter environment of Lake Winnipeg.
