Country Living in the Interlake

Enjoy a comfortable stay just two miles from Hecla Island, with easy access to Lake Winnipeg, Hecla Island, Grindstone Provincial Park, and the surrounding Interlake.

Our 1,150 sq. ft. cabin was newly rebuilt in 2023 and is located on a 600-acre farm just off Hecla Island. It is an all-year-round accommodation and provides a comfortable place to stay while you're enjoying the area.

The Cabin

The cabin has an open layout with a spacious kitchen, plenty of cabinets and counter space, a dining area, and a comfortable living room.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator, stove, microwave, sink, and plenty of workspace. The living area includes comfortable seating and a television, with large patio doors providing plenty of natural light and access to the outdoors.

The cabin has three bedrooms and comfortably sleeps up to eight people:

• Bedroom 1: King-size bed
• Bedroom 2: Two bunk beds
• Bedroom 3: One bunk bed

Guests have access to the entire cabin through a private driveway. The property has plenty of room for boat and snowmobile trailer storage.

Complimentary Starlink Internet is included.

A Great Location for Fishing and Exploring

The cabin is located 16 km north of Riverton on Highway 8 and approximately 7 km from the Hecla Island causeway.

Gull Harbour Marina is approximately a 26-minute drive from the cabin and provides access to the Greenback walleye fishery.

The lake is just minutes away, with access through Sandy Bar, Hecla Village, or Gull Harbour Marina. Hecla and Grindstone Provincial Parks are also nearby.

More Than Just a Place to Stay

The cabin is located next to the Johannson Fisheries fish store, where guests can find a selection of fish including walleye, pickerel cheeks, and seasonal smoked fish.

Guests can also learn more about commercial fishing on Lake Winnipeg through tours of the local fish plant with the owners.

Cabin Rates

$280 per day for the first 4 adults

$40 per day for each additional adult, up to 8 adults

Check-in and stay dates are selected when making your reservation. Departure is by 11:00 AM the following day.
